CRICKET

RESULTS of the LICI Cricket Fiji Easter Tournament which was held at Albert Park last week.

Round One

Oneata 61 runs for 5 wickets from a full 12 over's (Sekope Soqoiwasa 28 runs not out) lost to Suva Crusaders 62 runs for 2 wickets in 8 over's (Joji Bulabalavu 33) by 8 wickets.

Lakeba 105 runs for 2 wickets in 12 over's (Peni Dakai 54 not out) beat Kabara 46 runs for 9 wickets by 59 runs.

Round Two

Moce 126 runs for 4 wickets in 12 over's (Koloni 30) beat Komo 45 runs for 7 from 12 over's by 81 runs.

Suva Warriors 113 runs for 5 wickets in 12 over's (Jikoi Kida 39) beat the Western Invitation XI 47 runs for 7 wickets in 12 over's by 66 runs.

Oneata 41 runs all out after 10 over's, (Filimoni Vuli 20 runs not out and T Manu 4/14) lost to Namuka 44 for 1 wicket from 6 over's (J. Tadu 31) by 9 wickets.

Kabara 85 all out after 11 over's beat Labasa 52 for 7 wickets after 12 over's by 33 runs

Round Three

Suva Warriors beat Kabara by 113 runs. Suva Warriors was first to bat scoring 162 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs. Standout player was Cricket Fiji Men's Player of the Year Finalist Josefa Dabea who hit 32 not out. In reply Kabara was all out for 49 in 17 overs. Kabara's Cama Tukana top scored with 15 runs.

Moce beat Oneata by 122 runs, thanks to Cama Inoke who made 49 runs, Moce amassed 179 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their 20 overs, Oneata's Soqoiwasa Sekope scooped 3 wickets. In reply Oneata was all out for 57 runs in 14 overs.

Suva Crusaders' 105 runs was 12 shy of Komo's impressive 117. Komo won the toss and batted first, taking their 117 runs for only 6 wickets, after 20 overs. In reply, Suva Crusaders stumbled with 8 wickets falling for only 105 runs.

West Invitation beat Lakeba by 26 runs. West was 97 runs for 9 wickets, after 20 overs. In reply Lakeba was all out for 71.

Round Four

Moce 64 runs for 1 wicket in 12 overs beat Suva Crusaders, who batted first, getting 62 runs for all out from 12 overs.

Suva Warriors 76 runs for 4 wickets in 12 overs beat Lakeba 72 runs for 7 wickets in 12 overs.

Namuka 59 runs for all out from a full 12 overs tied with Komo 59 runs for all out.

Labasa 40 runs for 7 wickets in 12 overs beat West Invitation 43 runs for 1 wicket.

Round Five

Suva Crusader beat Namuka by 30 off 17.5 overs, while Lakeba beat Labasa by136 runs.

Labasa failed to stop Lakeba getting 167 for 8 out, over the full 20 overs. Lakeba's top performer was Veretaki CakaCaka with 75 not out. In reply Labasa was all out for 31.

Wests Invitation scored a forfeit victory over Kabara, while Komo defeated Oneata by 2 runs under the Duckworth Lewis method.

Oneata batted first, reaching 100 runs for 9 wickets, in 20 overs. In reply Komo were 38 for the loss of 2 wickets, after 8 overs when the heavens opened.

Wests Invitation was dismissed for 123 after 19 overs. In reply Kabara was 24 for 6 wickets, when they forfeited the match.

HOCKEY

Some results of the Fiji Hockey Easter Championship Five-a-side tournament that was played at the National Hockey Centre in Suva over the weekend.
