CLIMATE change is an issue the elderly of Navunidogoloa Village in Cakaudrove have heard about in the media and by word of mouth, not knowing they would become among the first in Fiji to be relocated as a result of rising sea level.
The village was visited by government officials last week who confirmed the relocation which is expected to take place before the end of the year.
Akisi Qativi, 64, said she did not dream her village would fall victim to climate change, an issue she said she did not think would become a reality.
