No word on Survivor

THE Fiji Audio Visual Commission says there has been nothing confirmed with the makers of the hit American reality show, Survivor.

Speculation that Fiji could be the location of the next Survivor season after the show decided to pull out of Tonga because of difficulties in securing accommodation and other services.

The commission's acting chief executive officer Florence Swami, told The Fiji Times that the commission had maintained contact with them since the show shot a season here in 2007.

"But as for where they are going to shoot the season which was supposed to be shot in Tonga, we are still in the dark," Mrs Swami said.

"Plus any statements regarding the outcome of their decision to withdraw from Tonga should be made by them."
