Jiaxing sister city

JIAXING city will soon become Ba Town's sister-city.

This was confirmed by Ba Town special administrator Arun Prasad after a Chinese delegation arrived to give money for the flood relief fund yesterday.

"This is a great honor. I have received a letter confirming we have been successful in becoming this city's sister-town," Mr Prasad said.

"I will correspond with the mayor of the city as soon as possible to develop a successful relationship."

Jiaxing city is located northeast of the province of Zhejiang and has a population of 3.39 million people.

Mr Prasad said the city had a rich history in agriculture mainly, fishing, rice planting and silk. With this farming and agricultural background, Mr Prasad hoped to sow a very interesting and successful relationship.
