Erasito flies the flag

Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee Sports and Environment Commission chairman Terence Erasito will be flying Fiji's flag at the XII FINA World Masters Swimming Championships.

The Championships are being held in Goteborg, Sweden from July 30-August 7.

Over 6700 swimmers representing 74 countries have registered to participate in the various events that include individual and relays in the pool, diving, synchronised swimming, water polo and open water events.

Erasito will be competing in pool events plus the open water swim consisting of a 3km swim in Lake Delsjoin around an island.

According to the FASANOC websitem, Erasito has had training sessions in both the pool and open water.

The championships started with the diving events from July 27-31 and the official opening ceremony was yesterday at the Valhalla Sport Stadium.

The pool events will start today until August 6 with the open water swim on Saturday, August 7.
