Update: 11:40AM A TROPICAL depression located about 500km to the north-west of Suva is likely to intensify over the next 48 hours.
Tropical Depression 14F was located near position 10.7S 176.0W at 9.30am today.
Based on current satellite reports the depression is moving west-southwest at about six knots.
Maximum average winds at its centre are estimated at 30 knots.
It is expected to remain on this course for some time before taking a more south-westerly course.
By tomorrow night, winds associated with the depression should reach 50knots.
These speeds will increase to 60knots or cyclone force by Monday morning.
