FOUR Fiji Amateur Boxing Association fighters will participate in New Caledonia on March 17.
Team manger Tevita Temo confirmed they have been invited by its counterpart to participate in the programs.
"We have already selected four fighters for the meet," he said.
Temo added they were in the super heavyweight, heavyweight, light heavyweight and lightweight.
He said they have eyed Poasa Naivalu, Wate, Roland Mateyawa and Sigatoka fighter Pillay to represent the country.
The FABA will have an Eastern Championship at the Raiwai Hall on March 24.
This will enable eastern clubs to send in their fighters to participate.
Most fighters who turned up for the program stage in Nadi last month weren't unable to participate due to the numbers requirement.
"We had to reduce the numbers to about 30 bouts and settled for a two minutes per round instead of three as usual to allow all the fights," he said.
He said about 150 fighters turned up.
Temo said the Eastern Championship is wide open and will allow fighters from "as far as Nadroga or elsewhere."
The programs are being stage in preparation for the upcoming New Caledonia South Pacific Games in 2011.
Temo warned fighters who have been selected in the squad and not participating in the programs that they will be automatically dropped.
