A Pastor is in police custody over allegations he sexually assaulted six secondary school students during prayer meetings in the Northern Division.
The pastor was taken from his village home in a district of Cakaudrove yesterday morning for questioning at the Savusavu Police Station.
Police assistant spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed police were investigating the matter last week which led to the pastor's arrest.
He said no charges had been laid was still being questioned by police but added charges could be laid soon.
Insp Sokomuri said the report stated that the pastor used to hold payer meetings in his home which the girls attended between December last year and February.
Three of the girls are in Form Six, two in Form Five and one is in Form Four.
