Separate FUTSAL trial for north

FIJI Football Association will hold a separate FUTSAL trial for the Northern players.

Fiji FA technical director Saiyad Ali said he would be taking the Oceania Futsal development manager Scott Gilligan to Labasa for a trial.

He said it would be expensive to bring the Northern players to Suva for a trial.

Meanwhile, Suva soccer players dominate the 45 member Western and Southern FUTSAL trials team.

Led by the likes of former national FUTSAL players Dinesh Mudaliar and Sandeep Nair, the capital side has 13 of its players in Southern trials team.

The players have been selected to attend the national selection and training program organised by Fiji FA from February 3-5, 2010 at Vodafone Arena in Suva.

This will be in preparation for the Oceania FUTSAL Championship Tournament in July, 2010 and World Cup Qualifiers in 2011. The Fiji FA bus will be picking Western players up at the following times on February 2.

Ba: Bus will leave Academy at 10am (All Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki players to meet here by 9.30am)

Lautoka: Bus to leave Lautoka Police Station at 11am

Nadi: Bus to leave Nadi Temple at 11.45am

Sigatoka: Bus to leave Sigatoka Mosque at 1.30pm

Navua: Players to contact Fiji FA Futsal Commission Chairman, Anil Sharma
