Five-a-side in Nausori

Friday, January 15, 2010

FIVE-a-side soccer players in the Nausori area will compete in a Futsal soccer competition organised for teams in the area.

The Delta Open Futsal Championship will give teams in the area an opportunity to participate.

Tournament organiser Atish Naidu said "we've seen in the past is that most teams from Nausori travel to Suva whenever a futsal tournament is organised in the capital".

"Now the tournament will be brought to our very doorstep in Nausori."

Naidu said the tournament would be held at the Vunivivi Hill Courts from January 28-31.

"We've organised attractive prizes."

Naidu said the tournament was an open meet.

Registration fee is $50 per team with the first 32 entries to be accepted. Naidu said registration would close on January 25.

"Teams contact me on 9318041 or Ravi on 9336172," Naidu said.
