Investments aimed at the Pacific region will see Fiji benefit with a new hotel on the Coral Coast with nine-hole golf course announced President of the Hotel Chain Warwick International Hotels, Richard Chiu
Mr Chiu said more than $60million worth of tourism investments is being aimed at the Pacific with the Warwick International Hotels planning to have a villa style hotel right between the Naviti and the Warwick.
He added "it's seven kilometres between the two resorts and we have managed to acquire land for a golf course and villas. Unlike, the Warwick and Naviti, we will be looking at the long-aterm holiday makers, mainly from Europe."
Apart from expanding its services in Fiji, more hotels were expected to be constructed in Samoa, Tonga and French Polynesia.
Construction budget alone will cost millions of dollars in the next three years.
"We are talking about Tonga, Samoa and Fiji and not to mention we're going to increase the capacity. In the next three years, the construction will be around US$35million (FJD66m) as our construction budget," said Mr Chiu.
