NAVUA soccer has turned its focus on its youngsters for their match against the All Stars on Sunday and the build-up to the 2010 season.
The latest inclusion in the Navua side is Tavua's Meli Codro.
The Inter District Champions have also brought in Codro's Tavua teammate Rumeru Tekiata and Taveuni farmer Amitesh Kanhaiya
The three have been handed a trial with the side and Navua will decide later this week if they are to sign a deal for the new season.
Navua soccer president Anil Sharma said his side would not go after big names as they wanted to help develop young and unknown players to the highest level.
"We will not bring in star names but we have shifted our focus on players who we think will benefit us and get better by playing for Navua," Sharma said.
The team will be with majority of the players who were part of the squad, which won the IDC in October.
Lorima Dau and Pita Bolaitoga are with the Hekari United Club in Papua New Guinea while Salesh Kumar has joined Lautoka.
Australia-based Esala Ali along with USA trio, Stefan Clemens, Javier Hill and Jason Singh will also not feature.
Sharma said they would field the team, which would mostly comprise of players who played for Southern Forest Combine in the National Club Championships win last month.
The players include the likes of goalkeeper Benamino Matenaqara, Taniela Waqa, Pene Erenio, Rajneel Chand, Simione Tamanisau, Jesoni Takala and Alvin Avinesh.
"We have lost some of the players who played for us at the IDC and we will have to resort to who we have," Sharma said.
"We are also looking at few players from Navua clubs and should have a formidable side."
