FIJI Bati Semi Tadulala wings into the Flying Fijians side to make his debut out wide against Romania at 4am tomorrow (Fiji time).
Coach Glenn Ella has named a team laced with local players in its third match of the Northern Hemisphere rugby tour.
Tadulala leads the list of newcomers.
Tadulala has been named on the wing, while Naitasiri halfback Waisale Vatuvoka gets a first start along with fellow Highlander Jimilai Naikadawa, who is at flanker.
A niggling injury to hooker Viliame Veikoso has seen Naitasiri rake Vereniki Sauturaga start.
It is a first ever halfback-first five combination for Vatuvoka and pivot Josh Matavesi.
Former Fiji sevens skipper Vereniki Goneva starts at centre with Gabirieli Lovobalavu at inside centre.
Suva's Samu Bola is at flanker, while skipper Apolosi Satala is at the unusual lock position.
Fiji technical advisor Mike Brewer said this was an important match of the tour and the players needed to put on a big performance.
"This is a must-win game for Fiji to get something out of the tour," Brewer said.
"The match against Ireland showed that with time to prepare we are able to get better combinations and be more cohesive.
"It does not mean that players will communicate better or be intuitive.
"This is a trait that needs to be learned and done for every test. I am looking for a big performance."
Brewer said the focus during the week had been to better set pieces and this would be crucial in the match.
FRU media officer Vilikesa Rinavuaka said the team announcement was delayed yesterday as lock Wame Lewaravu underwent a late fitness test, which he failed.
Lewaravu, he said, had been one of the standout performers on tour and "his abrasive play and willingness to put body on the line has been a feature of his game in the tests against Scotland and Ireland".
