STAFF at Pure Fiji in Vatuwaqa hosted the 12 contestants vying for the Miss South Pacific Pageant crown in Suva yesterday.
Pure Fiji's Gaetane Austin said the visit was an opportunity for staff to meet the contestants from around the Pacific.
"The staff rehearsed a few songs to welcome them and it was a very spontaneous and happy visit," she said.
Miss Tuvalu Akelita Marisa said it was the first time for her to visit the Pure Fiji office.
"It was a very helpful experience for us. This is a chance for us to get ideas on how to boost exports," she said. "We got to socialise more with the staff and learn how to make products. We don't export much in Tuvalu so this was very helpful."
Miss French Polynesia Aruhoia Biret said despite the busy schedule during the week, the visit was an opportunity to meet sponsors and the people of Fiji.
"I'm very happy, especially with the warm welcome given to us everywhere we go," she said.
"Apart from meeting sponsors, we were able to engage in workshops that highlight very interesting issues."
