SUVA'S Filimone Boletawa is the lone surviving player named in the 58-member national Under-20 training squad for next year's Ocea-nia playoffs.
Boletawa represented the Fiji U20 side in the 2008 Oceania playoffs in Tahiti.
That national U20 side coached by Juan Carlos Buzzetti failed to impress in the tournament finishing at the bottom, losing all of its three matches.
Fiji Football Association technical director Saiyad Ali said selection for the new training squad started in June.
"We held the U18 championship for the super premier districts during the Fiji FACT," Ali said.
"It continued at the secondary schools champions-hip and the Inter District Championship. The development officers visited various schools to monitor the players."
Some of the super premier and premier district players who played in the recent Courts Homecentres IDC have been drafted into the squad. These players include Sitiveni Watkins (Nadroga), Tomasi Tuica-kau (Nadroga), Kaliova Ti-vulu (Tailevu Naitasiri), Ratu Luke Lomasalato (Tailevu Naitasiri), Amani Makoe (Labasa), Ilisoni Lo-gaivou (Labasa), Akei Ulu-ibau (Labasa), Taione Kere-vanua (Labasa), Mohamm-ad Salmin (Nadi), Robert Nair (Nasinu), Rodrick Sin-gh (Rewa), Vilitati Ratu (Tavua), Viliame Ratuka-reu (Tailevu North), Kam-nieli Rokorairuku (Tailevu North), Jonas Naceva (Nad-roga).
Ali said the district reps would not be given a free ride into the final national U20 team.
He said the players would have to lead by example at the training camp which starts on December 13 in Ba. The training camp will run for a week.
