TWO more contestants have entered the Miss South Pacific Pageant which begins tomorrow at Albert Park.
This brings to 12 the number of contestants taking part.
Pageant welfare and logistics director Mere Corerega said the last-minute confirmation was a boost for the pageant.
"Initially, 12 countries confirmed their participation and later only 10 countries confirmed their contestants," she said.
"Yesterday, we received confirmation that two more contestants will arrive for the pageant.
"The two new contestants are Miss Kiribati Taumiri Tetuai and Miss Aotearoa Pacific Paretaunu Randall.
"The other contestants are Miss Cook Islands Engara Gosselin and Miss Papua New Guinea Antonnia Singut."
Ms Corerega said Miss Tonga Paea Williams would arrive tomorrow afternoon.
The contestants have a busy Friday schedule including a live interview with Fiji Broadcasting Corporation from 9-11am, introduction to the dance rehearsals at the Fiji Arts Council and a dinner hosted by Pacific Buildings Solutions tonight.
South Pacific Pageant organising committee chairman Dhansukh Lal Bhikha said the hype surrounding the pageant had been positive.
