NAVUA club Jolly Brothers faces a tough challenge qualifying for the Southern Forest/RC Manubhai Natio-nal Club Championship semi-finals on Sunday.
Eight clubs will compete for the $3000 first prize at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori tomorrow.
Jolly Brothers is playing in the NCC for the first time and on Tuesday, the Pranil Kumar-led side was drawn in pool of death alongside Ba's 4R Electric, Suva champion Samabula and Downtown of Nadroga.
Defending champions Southern Forest Combine leads Pool 2 alongside Wailailai Youth, Lincoln Sports and Service.
Earlier in the southern zone play-offs, Jolly Brothers were beaten 1-0 by Samabula.
President Binesh Prasad said despite setbacks, the side would come out firing.
Prasad said it would be conceded a milestone achievement if Jolly Brothers beat or drew against clubs like Samabula and 4R Electric.
"We're in a very tough pool but everyone is looking forward to playing Samabula again," he said.
The two teams meet on Friday in the opening pool one clash.
"Losing 1-0 to Samabula was no big deal," Prasad said.
"It was a lesson for us and this time it will be a different ball game because we know what to expect. I'm confident we will do well."
He said the side was preparing well under the watchful eyes of former Navua rep Anup Kumar.
"Jolly Brothers has a good set of players and if everyone plays with the same commitment, then we will surely do well," Prasad said.
