MORE than 700 Baha'is nationwide celebrated the birth of Baha'u'llah, the founder of Baha'i faith on Thursday.
Jone Salele Waqavesi was among a gathering of 60 at a function at the Baha'i Home in Nasinu.
"It was a simple celebration which began with prayer and devotion. Stories were told about Baha'u'lla's birth," Mr Waqavesi said.
About 30 members participated in celebrations at Toorak in Suva.
