FIJI sevens coach Iliesa Tanivula says he will only include players in his squad who are at his disposal throughout the International Rugby Sevens World Series.
His comments followed the selection of his 18-member squad after the Suva Sevens Series on Saturday, which did not include Ratu Filise wing Jo Ravueta.
Ravueta is a Fiji Bati rugby league rep and recently played at the Pacific Cup against Cook Islands and Tonga.
Apart from Ravueta, other Bati reps like Jone Macilai, Kailova Tani and Alipate Tani have been playing both codes.
However, Tanivula has put his foot down and says he wants players to make a firm decision on which code they want to play.
"They need to make up their minds if they want to play rugby union or rugby league," Tanivula said.
"I need players in the side who commit to the team for the duration of the World Series.
"I don't want players who play a couple of tournaments then switch to rugby league.
"We need to develop a formidable combination."
Fiji, South Africa, Australia and England all had players in action last weekend as the Singapore Cricket Club Sevens and the Hyperion Gold Coast International 7s as teams used the tournaments as a perfect opportunity to fine-tune skills and fitness ahead of the 2009/10 World Series opener -- the Dubai Sevens.
