FLYING Fijians coach Glen Ella said the matches on the Europe tour were adequate to the start their 2011 Rugby World Cup build up.
Fiji, ranked number nine in the world, kicks off its three-match tour facing tenth placed Scotland on November 15.
The national side will then play world number four Ireland on November 22 before capping off its tour against 19th ranked Romania on November 29.
Ella said they were prepared to play any team in the Northern Hemisphere.
He said they would not underestimate Romania despite their low ranking.
"We are happy to play anyone in the Northern Hemisphere," Ella said.
"Let's not disregard Romania. They are a very big and strong side. So they will be tough. We have genuinely three tough internationals."
The cold weather will be major concern for the local players part of the Flying Fijians squad with the minimum temperature in Edinburgh recorded at around four degrees Celsius this week.
Ella said they would not make the cold weather an excuse and the players would just have to adapt to the conditions.
"Weather may be a problem but that's not an excuse," Ella said.
"We have to play in all types of conditions. If it's wet and its cold that's the way it is. It's the same for the opposition. The guys have now been training for three weeks and they have to release.
"We need to start playing games. I'm very happy with the preparation so far. It's a matter of putting that on to the field.
"The players are mentally focussed. It's a big challenge for the team and a big challenge for the players individually. So we know that we have to step up, otherwise, we are going to get beaten." The skipper for the national side will be named on Wednesday during the announcement of the line up against Scotland.
Experienced Mosese Rauluni of Saracens and Nicky Little of Bath are front runners for the position. "I have not decided on the captaincy," Ella said.
"We will announce that when we will announce the team to play Scotland next Wednesday. There is couple of players that come to mind. I wont say who they are at the moment."
Ella said the overseas players should not face any problems combining with the local players.
The former Wallaby said he would mould the team quickly.
"The overseas players are experienced," Ella said. "They have been there before. I have had experience with them last year with the Pacific Islanders tour. So I know what their capabilities are.
"They are very professional so I think we should mould the team very quickly. For me it's a great honour to coach Fiji and I don't take it lightly. Its an honour that's been bestowed and I have to give my one hundred percent."
