Kumar set to start

Saturday, November 07, 2009

NEW Zealand-based Salesh Kumar is likely to force his way into Lautoka's starting line up for their O League fixture against Hekari United in Port Moresby this afternoon.

Kumar helped Navua win the Inter District Competition in Nadi last month. He sought a move to the Shop n Save Blues in the new transfer window which opened on Monday.

Kumar is likely to fill the void created by the suspension of Jone Vonu.

Lautoka Football Association vice president Tarunesh Reddy said the side held two training sessions yesterday.

He said Australia-based players Nahuel Arrarte (midfielder) and James Chronopoulos (goalkeeper) were supposed to join the team last night.
