Digicel customers will receive an extra $100 free credit to talk and text if they first register the word "free" to 1111 and then recharge by $20.
This follows a concern raised by a Digicel customer that the advertisement was misleading after recharging $20 only to receive a message that she had been awarded $1 free talk time and $100 free text time.
"This may have occurred if the customer did not text FREE to 1111 before topping up by $20," said a Digicel spokesperson.
"Instead, the woman was awarded $1 free credit, which is applied to all customers who top up by $3 or more but who have not opted in to the Get Free with Digicel plan. This is a part of our ongoing rewards program.
"If the woman did register but didn't get the reward, then we will fix the problem. However, if she did not register then we can amend it through the system to ensure she receives all the benefits of the Digicel's new prepaid plan.
"The new prepaid plan has no end-by date and will continue for as long as our customers partake in it."
Digicel Fiji on Tuesday launched its biggest promotion giving its prepaid customers $100 free credit with every $20 top-up.
Apart from the $100 free credit, the customer's $20 top-up could be used to call any network in Fiji for 40cents per minute and certain international numbers for the same.
