THE Vanuatu Immigration Department has deported a Nigerian national to Fiji.
Arosanyin Olatunde Charles was recently deported from Australia following the expiration of his visa after living there for three years then ended up in Samoa.
Radio New Zealand reported Charles arrived in Vanuatu on October 17 without a return ticket to his country.
Vanuatu immigration compliance officer Samuel Garae said Mr Charles only managed to get a return ticket to Fiji where he boarded an Air Pacific flight to Port Vila.
Mr Charles claimed he left Samoa following the recent earthquake and tsunami there. Attempts to get a comment from Director Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa were unsuccessful.
