THE Fiji Bati will play Tonga in the third and fourth place play-offs at the Pacific Rugby League Cup in Papua New Guinea on Saturday.
This after PNG hammered Tonga 44-24 in the second match of the tournament yesterday to send the Port Moresby faithful into frenzy.
Fiji had lost 22-24 to Cook Islands on Saturday.
While Fiji and Tonga do not have anything apart from pride to play for, PNG and the Cooks will battle for a place in the 2010 Four Nations.
The winning team will join, test sides, the Australian Kangaroos, New Zealand Kiwis and England Lions in the tournament which will run over October and November next year.
The Cook Islands only qualified for the tournament thanks to a shock playoff victory over Samoa in Cairns, and now find themselves 80 minutes away from a place in next year's Four Nations.
"I'm just really happy for the boys," Cook Islands coach David Fairleigh said.
