EIGHTEEN-year-old beauty Akelita Marisa Pesega is Tuvalu's best bet for this year's South Pacific pageant.
She is a foundation student at the Tuvalu USP campus and she wants to become a doctor.
Her goal is to do further studies in biology and chemistry.
Ms Pesega lists her hobbies as dancing, sewing, netball, watching movies and learning other people's cultures.
" I also love to study," she said.
Ms Pesega is one of the eight contestants vying for the South Pacific crown that will be held for the first time in Suva, Fiji, next month.
