NEWCASTLE Knights rugby league wing Akuila Uate says it will be a tough decision for him to make if he ever gets a call-up from Australia.
Uate arrived in the country on Sunday to join the Vodafone Fiji Bati's preparation for the Pacific Cup. His stood out at the World Cup and in the National Rugby League competition.
Fijians Jarryd Hayne and John Sutton are already part of the Kangaroos squad and Uate could not be too far off.
His incredible speed and strength has seen Uate tipped as a future superstar by Aussie league legend, Andrew Johns.
"It will be very hard for me as I am interested in Fiji," Uate said. "It will be tough decision."
Having played union in his school days, Uate has just signed a four-year deal with the Knights. There have been speculations of a possible switch to union, but Uate is not rushing things.
"It is about where the heart goes and my heart is with league," he said.
