ABOUT 100 passengers on board an Air Pacific Boeing 737 enroute from Nadi to Brisbane were given a scare after experiencing a light hailstorm in mid-air.
Airline managing director John Campbell said the aircraft's windscreen wiper was damaged during the turbulence last week.
The aircraft was under the command of Captain Guy Kendell, who has been with Air Pacific since October 2001. "The moderate turbulence required the temporary suspension of cabin service," he said. "But all on board fastened their seatbelts and no one was injured."
