ENGLAND-based centre Seru Rabeni and new comer Inoke Nakarawa have been ruled out of the remainder of the Pacific Nations Cup series.
Rabeni, who is set to move from Leicester to Gloucester on a three-year contract, is suffering from an abscess.
The 30-year-old who was co-captain of the team has a boil on his left shin.
Nakarawa, who was named on the reserves for the match against Samoa today, injured his ankle during training on Thursday afternoon.
National coach Ilivasi Tabua said medical assessment was being carried out on the extent of Nakarawa's injury.
He said both Rabeni and Nakarawa would play no further part in the series.
"It's unfortunate to lose an experienced player like Rabeni at this time," Tabua said.
"And to have Nakarawa injured at training.
"He is a bright prospect."
Nakarawa's place in the team is taken up by Vuda's Ifereimi Rawaqa.
Tabua said he would discuss the need for replacements with the team management over the weekend.
He said the replacements should be in camp by Monday.
Nakarawa made his debut for the Flying Fijians against the Junior All Blacks last week.
