Calendar of Sporting Events around the Nation

AMAETUER BOXING

Monthly program

Boxing Fiji's monthly competition starts on Tuesday at the Raiwai Youth Hall. All clubs that have not paid affiliation of $25 for the 2009 season are to do so before taking part. These monthly competitions serve as trials to select the national team to the mini-games in the Cook Islands in September 2009.

* Weigh-in time: 7am-8.30am.

* Competition draws: 4.30pm.

* Medical check: 5.30pm.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

FIJI Beach Volleyball Commis0sion will be organising a one-week FIVB VCP Beach Volleyball cooperation program course from June 29-July 3. FVIB assistant technical supervisor, instructor Yaniv Noyman of Israel will conduct the course at the National Aquatic Centre VIP room from 8.30am. Registration fee is $5. REMINDER to sports associations

FASANOC lottery money is due on Tuesday, June 30. Section managers for the Pacific Mini Games can bring any lottery money and ticket stubs to Friday's meeting. People wishing to enter the lottery can buy tickets from FASANOC until next week. $2 per ticket; first prize is $20,000.
