A FOUR-member Fiji team will be heading to New Caledonia this week to take part in the Ligue Caledonienne De Triathlon.
Leena Pratt, Rupeni Seasea, Kaliova Vuki and Nau Dakuiliga will take part in the one-day event, which will include participants from France.
Making a comeback, Pratt said the competition was a build-up for them as they build up to the Mini Pacific Games in the Cook Islands in September.
"It is a one-day event, which will be held on May 3," she said. "We are going early so we can train with the French athletes."
She had taken a break from the sport but is back to contest a spot in the mini games.
"I took a break because of studies," she said.
Triathlon Fiji president Ian Curtis said the competition in New Caledonia would help them get exposure in the build-up to the Cook Islands.
"They will be taking part against some of the best elite athletes, which is what we want," Curtis said.
