FIJI Times photographer Jai Prasad was taken in for questioning by police yesterday.
Mr Prasad was one of the three media personnel who were taken into Lautoka Police Station in relation to their coverage of a peaceful protest by the members of the Fiji Law Society.
The other two were Fiji Television reporter Ranbeer Singh and cameraman Harry Tabanidalo.
Seven police officers marched into the Fiji Times office with a search warrant and demanded that they take Mr Prasad's camera bag.
Team leader Inspector Suliasi Ratu said they were sent to confiscate Mr Prasad's camera.
He said directives were issued from their headquarters in Suva in relation to the pictures taken at the protest.
Mr Prasad said that nothing happened at the station.
"We just went there and after a while, they told us that we were released," he said. "They did nothing to the photos and the camera."
Mr Prasad returned to the newsroom in less than an hour with his camera.
But police came and asked for his camera chip.
