McCains in for holiday

UNITED States Senator John McCain and his family jetted into the country at the weekend to spend Christmas.

Mr McCain the Republican nominee for the presidential post lost out against Barack Obama in the recent elections and is in the country on a break.

Senator McCain and his wife Cindy and their four children checked into Turtle Island Resort on Monday.

The resort's owner Richard Evanson confirmed Senator McCain and his family had checked in for their 12th Christmas visit over the past 26 years.
