THE Republic of Fiji Military Forces have been allocated $15million more than this year, leaving its budget allocation at $96.8m for next year.
The military administration budget has increased from $5.6m to $10.2m with staff increasing from 131 this year to an estimated 281 next year.
The allocation will cater for court martial expenses, special joint operations, health awareness and civil military affairs.
The 3FIR received about $7m for established staff that the military hopes to increase from 825 to 1026 next year.
They will be absorbed into the $19.06m allocation compared to $11.9m last year.
The 3FIR has also been allocated $160,000 for warlike stores, local training, occupational safety, power supply and water, sewerage and fire services.
The FMF engineers have received $9.311m, an increase of about $2m.
That will be mainly channelled to the wages of established staff consisting of officers and other ranks, their FNPF contributions and service allowance.
The naval division has a budget allocation of $9.6m with $7.10m to cater for 306 established staff, six more than last year, which includes officers and other ranks and their FNPF, lodgings and service allowance.
The mission to Iraq received a downgraded budget of $10.1m as FMF maintains its 243 personnel on a $9.6m allocation.
The Land Force Command has been allocated an increase of $9m, which is about $3m more than last year with $7.8m going towards salaries and allowances of 333 established staff - 137 more staff compared to 296 last year.
The Force Training Group has been allocated $5.2m, $1m more than last year.
