GOLDEN boy Joy Ali will be out for redemption next month when he fights Australian middleweight champion Jamie Pittman in Gosford, New South Wales.
The odds are however stacked heavily against the 29-year-old Nadi boxer.
Ali, ranked 263, said he was looking forward to fighting Pittman, who is ranked 50 in the world.
He said Pittman's better ranking was not a problem for him.
In his two fights this year, Ali lost to Yuzo Kiyota of Japan in Tokyo and lately to Samoan champion Faimasasa Tavui on a hometown decision.
Pitman was knocked out by Felix Sturm of Germany in his last fight in April for the World Boxing Association middleweight title.
"It's a very big fight for me.
"Despite not being able to fight in Fiji, I've had good build-up fights in New Zealand and Japan.
"I'm really looking forward to this fight," Ali said.
"It will be a good fight. We've been promised that the winner will get a crack at PABA middleweight title fight which, if I win, will take my ranking to 15 in the world."
Ali beat Gary Comer on points in 2005 at the Vodafone Arena in Laucala Bay to win the PABA junior middleweight title.
Later in November, Ali will contest for the vacant South Pacific light middleweight title in Otara, New Zealand.
Ali's opponent for the November bout is yet to be confirmed.
