Update: 5:35PM Rewa Co-operative Company Limited and its share holders are calling on the police to resolve a pending case that involved the mismanagement of resources at the company.
Company chairman Josefa Serulagilagi said there has been mismanagement of resources by most senior officers in the past.
The mismanagement of resources investigated by the police is understood be corrupt in nature.
Police investigations are continuing for the past three years. Mr Serulagilagi said three years is too long.
The Rewa dairy board and the shareholders who are the farmers agree that this issue demands urgent resolution.
Farmers spokesperson Vijendra Prakash said they want justice and they believe the case has been neglected by the police.
"We want good people to be up there to speak for us and represent people and if there are corrupt ones the we would like to see justice to be done as soon as possible. We fail to understand why it is taking so long for the police to resolve this case," Mr Prakash said.
Mr Serulagilagi said several instances of apparent malpractice have been identified by Price Waterhouse Coopers investigation and a comprehensive report has been lodged with the companys lawyers.
"Now is the time to put on record the puzzlement and extreme disappointment of the board at the lack of progress made in this related matter. A police inquiry into the malpractice allegations identified in the auditors investigation report has dragged on without result, for much longer than is reasonable," he said.
Mr Serulagilagi added that Transparency International was closely monitoring the affair and that the organisation shares the boards concern that economic fraud cases be brought to a swift and just conclusion.
"Inordinate delays in bringing cases of this sort to court are unacceptable," he said.
