ENGLAND-based Semi Tadulala has been cleared to play in the Rugby League World Cup after avoiding suspension at a Rugby Football League disciplinary panel yesterday.
The Fijian winger's participation in Australia was in jeopardy after he was put on report for a high tackle on Wigan three-quarter Cameron Phelps during the Bulls' 30-14 play-off defeat.
Any suspension would have counted towards the World Cup, in which Fiji play group matches against France and Scotland.
The panel found him guilty of a careless tackle and fined him £500 ($F1169).
Tadulala, 30, has grabbed 23 tries in his first season at Odsal since joining from the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and is expected to shortly sign a new deal.
FNRL chairman Peni Musunamasi said it was good news for the Bati.
"He's confirmed his desire to play for Fiji and his inclusion should be a big boost to our campaign," Musunamasi said.
