SUNJIT Kumar, who was raised in a chicken coop, could go to Auckland for further scientific and medical tests.
He was found abandoned in a coop when he was eight. He eats by pecking at his food, make clucking noises and hops around like a chicken.
His carer, Elizabeth Clayton, says the 36-year-old has the mental age of a child but has made remarkable progress since his rehabilitation.
She said ethics approval is required before he could go to New Zealand for testing.
