Stage set for vacant middleweight title contest

THE stage is set for the much anticipated World  Boxing Foundation Australasian vacant middleweight title contest between Fiji’s Siliveni Nawai and New Zealand’s Beau O’Brien.

The 10X3minutes bout is hosted by Canada Fiji Southern Boxing Promotions and sanctioned by WBF and Boxing Commission of Fiji scheduled at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park.

The two fighters met for the first time during the weigh-in at Nadi yesterday afternoon in readiness for the war tonight (June 23).

Both have high hopes of winning the title and have prepared well for the fight.

A win for Nawai will  give him a good chance of improving his world ranking at the same time fight against other top middleweight champions from around the globe.

The program will start with amateur bouts at 3pm followed by eight professionals then the main bout at around 9pm.
