Update: 2:23PM SAINT Mary’s Anglican Primary School in Labasa joined Christians around the country in observing Easter this week.

During the celebrations, students were given a chance to showcase what they understood about Easter.

Bishop of Vanua Levu and Taveuni Henry Bull said the school commemorated on the life of Jesus during his last days before he was crucified.

“Different classes reenacted Jesus’ last supper with the disciples, the washing of the disciples’ feet by Jesus, Jesus praying in the garden of Gethsemane, his arrest, trial, and crucifixion,” Mr Bull said.

Other primary and secondary schools in Labasa also observed Easter in their school.
