NETBALL

Fiji Umpires Netball Association

THE Fiji Umpires Netball Association (FUNA) will have their meeting and coaching clinic/refresher course at Nadroga on October 3 and 4. Program: Friday (October 3): 6pm-9pm: FUNA meeting, 9pm-11pm: Socialising. Saturday (October 4): NNMMNA opening knockout at Lawaqa Park, umpire coaching will be held at the courts. Evening: 6pm-fundraising. Each umpire willing to take part at this retreat/clinic and meeting will have to pay a minimal fee to cater for accommodation and meals. You are required to confirm you availability with your district coordinators or call the national co-ordinator directly on 9344826 or 3232067.

Magic Land

THE Magic Land Nadi Netball team will be conducting three training sessions a week Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and training at the Prince Charles Park from 4.30pm to 6pm. All reps are requested to be present on time.

Nadroga Men’s and Mixed

THE knockout has been postponed to October 4 at 10am at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka. Invitation to all Coral Coast hotels, business houses and villages to join the Nadroga Men’s and Mixed Netball Association 2014 season. Registration fee is $100 per team (Open/Mixed). Winner walks away with cash and also runner-up will get cash. Teams are to assemble by 10am and Gabriele Qoro will be our chief guest. Umpires Kalesi (Lautoka), Poasa, Keresi (Nadi), Bola, Torika, Litia Vatureba (Navosa). Teams are to be in proper sports uniforms and gear. Registration closes on Wednesday, October 1 and special manager’s meeting will be held at the True Blue Hotel at 3pm. Fees to be paid on time. Salad Bowl

TRAINING daily at Lawaqa ground 2 at 4.30pm. Players are reminded to attend final trials to select one Open and two Mixed teams for the opening of Nadroga Men’s and Mixed Netball season. Salad Bowl under-23 players trials on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4pm. Players are reminded to come with the warm up T-shirt for Salad Bowl. Adi Wainibuka 7s

THE Adi Wainibuka 7s tournament will be held on October 9 and 10 at the Wainibuka Secondary School grounds. Entry fee is $170. Winner will walk away with $1500 and runner-up would get $700. Prizes will also be given for the plate and bowl categories. First 32 teams to pay registration fees will be accommodated. A netball tournament will also be held during the tournament. Bureiwai 7s

THE Bureiwai Sevens tournament will be held at the Bureiwai District School ground on the October 30 and 31. Registration fee is $300 and the winner will walk away with $4,000, runner-up will win $1500, plate winner gets $1000, plate runners-up gets $400, Bowl winner will win $300 and Bowl runner-up will win $250. Coastal Great 8 7s

THE Coastal Great 8 7s is a qualifying tournament for the 2014 Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens. All team managers interested in registering their teams to play in the 2014 Coastal Great Eight are requested to register as soon as possible via e-mail sevenspassion@gmail.com or by calling 929 7337. Entry Fee is $500 per team and this is the only way you can win your way into the 2014 Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast Sevens.

THE Masada Rugby 7s will be held at the Wairiki Village ground in Bua on October 10 and 11. Rugby – Men’s’ Adult Team: Registration Fee: $250; Cup Winner – $3000; Runner-up – $1000; Losing Cup Semi-finalist – $500 each; Plate Winner – $400; Runner-up – $250; Loosing Semi-finalist – $150 each; Bowl Winner – $200; Runner-up – $150; Losing Semi-finalist – $100 each; U19 Grade: Registration Fees – $100; winner – $500; runner-up -$200; losing semi-finalist – $100 each. THE tournament will be held at Suva Grammar School grounds on October 4. Only 18 teams will be accommodated. Entry fees $150. The winner walks way with $1000 and runner-up $400. THE Qereqere Rugby Club 7s tournament will be held on October 17 and 18 at Nasau Park in Levuka. Registration fees is $200. Only the first 32 teams to pay their registration fees in full will be accomodated. Prizes – Cup winner – $2000 plus trophy, runner-up $900. Losing semi-finalists – $400 each. Uluisuvani 7s

THE Uluisuvani 7s and netball tournament will be held at the Ra Sports Ground on October 10 and 11. Registration fee is $100 for rugby teams and $30 for netball team. The 7s tournament winner will walk away with $1000, plate winner would get $250, bowl winner will get $100 and the netball winner will get $150.
