FOR the first time in five years, the South Pacific team has won two of its matches during the 2018 QLD State Under-18 Championships in Australia.
The Pacific team won their third game against Brisbane South 49-42.
Development manager South Pacific Ben Drew said it was a terrific way to finish a great week for the South Pacific team with a hard-fought win over Brisbane South.
“Our boys dug deep in the last quarter kicking two goals and defending extremely well to register a seven-point victory and finish in third place for the championships,” Drew said.
The team consists of players from Fiji, Vanuatu, and Tuvalu.
