THE Suva rugby team used experience and its heavy pack advantage to survive a gallant Rewa attack in their Skipper Cup match under light showers and heavy footing at Bidesi Ground, Laucala Bay, Suva, this afternoon.
The match was a battle of wits between two former national 7s and 15s teammates Jope Tuikabe, the Suva coach, and Ro Alivereti Doviverata.
Suva won 18-8 through two pushover tries and two penalties against a Rewa backline try and a penalty.
Suva will meet Nadi while new major union Rewa tackles champions Nadroga at Burebasaga in the next three weeks.
