SKIPPER Cup reigning champions BLK Nadroga Stallions secured their first win of the season defeating Suva 28-26 in a nail-biting encounter at Lawaqa Park this afternoon.
Inspired by its 13-5 loss to Nadi in the opening round, the Stallions broke the hearts of the Suva players scoring their winning points in the dying seconds of the game after Suva was leading 26-25.
Nadroga’s four tries were scored by Viliame Bolalailai, Ulaiasi Lawavou, Timoci Sauvoli and Sanaila Nahuto, with flyhalf Josese Kurokavi adding extras.
Suva’s tries were scored by flyers Leveni Kurumudu and Setareki Raoba with Ratu Mei Kurisaru scoring 16 points from his boot.
