SIR Michael Jones will be the special guest speaker at the Viti Spinal Injuries Association of Fiji (VSIAF) Old Skool Ball that will be held next month.
In a statement released by the association, the New Zealand All Blacks legend said he was looking forward to being at the Old Skool Ball Charity Gala.
Since retiring from rugby, Sir Jones has been heavily involved in community and social work and is a role model and an inspiration throughout the Pacific.
At the ball, he will present an inspiring discourse on the need to provide support for people living with spinal injuries.
He will also relate some humorous and behind-the-scenes insights of some of the famous matches and engagements he has been involved in.
“I have heard of the great work the VSIAF are doing in Fiji and I know that many people living with spinal injuries have a very tough life and need a level of personal courage much greater than most of us could ever understand,” Sir Jones said.
The annual VSIAF Old Skool Ball will be held on Friday, July 20, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
It has become a prime charity event of the year to raise awareness and funds for people living with spinal injuries.
