at a youth forum in Bonn, Germany to demand actions from their leaders against climate change.
Mr Seruiratu urged the youths to do what they could do to step up the fight because they were powerful agents for change.
“And each and every one of you in this room is an agent for change as, together, we strive for more action and more ambition to tackle the challenge of climate change,” he said.
“I don’t need to tell a room full of young people that we cannot allow this to happen.
We must not allow this to happen. So we need to mobilise the whole world to take the action that is needed.
“Young people the world over must demand action. To raise their voices and force their politicians to take the tough decisions that are necessary.
“And also point out the wonderful opportunities that are out there if we make the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy and fast track the development of the emerging technologies that will enable us to better harness and store that energy.”
