Secondary schools netball: Defending champs to face stiff competition

DEFENDING Powerade Secondary Schools Series Under 19 champion Suva Grammar School is expected to face stiff competition in this year’s event held at Lautoka Central College ground.

The side started its campaign on a high note beating Nasinu Secondary School 44-23 in their first match before facing the host team later in the afternoon.

The Grammarians will be tested by some of the country’s top teams such as Adi Cakobau School, Saint Joseph Secondary School, Vunisea Secondary and the two Western giants in Natabua and Jasper.

ACS, Natabua, Saint Joseph, Jasper and Vunisea also recorded wins in their first round of games.

Suva Grammar is also the Under 15 defending champions.

Adi Cakobau is the reigning Under 17 champions while Swami Viveknanda is the defending boys champions.
