SIXTY-YEAR-OLD Lily Maschke has attended every Adi Cakobau School anniversary celebration since she left the learning centre in 1975.
Even though she now resides in Cairns, Australia, she did not let go of the opportunity to attend the ACS 66th Anniversary Ball held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort and Spa on Saturday.
“We have made lifelong friends and that’s why we come back every year to celebrate the school and its achievements,” she said.
“This anniversary celebration is very special for the old girls.”
According to ACS Old Girls Nadi branch president Vika Cokakosova, one of the main things that boosted the fundraising campaign was the early purchase of tickets by old scholars residing overseas.
“We were really grateful for the support of the executive committee in this regard,” she said.
