Savusavu district tops Cakaudrove child abuse cases

THE Savusavu district alone topped the number of offences committed in the province of Cakaudrove recording a total number of 42 cases of child abuse.

A Police presentation made at the National Substance Abuse Advisory Council (NSAAC) forum in Labasa this week said this was followed by the tikina of Cakaudrove with 31 cases, Wailevu with 22 cases and Navatu with 21 cases.

The presentation revealed that of the 187 cases, a total of 86 were committed against males while 101 were recorded against females.
