Save the Children assists 900-plus western children

A TOTAL of 920 children in Fiji’s Western Division have been identified for assistance by Save the Children Fiji for the affected victims of Tropical Cyclone Josie and Severe Tropical Cyclone Keni.
This was confirmed by Save the Children Fiji CEO Iris Low-McKenzie in a response to questions sent by this newspaper yesterday.
Ms Low-McKenzie said they had previously assisted 944 children in the Western Division while another 305 children were assisted in Kadavu.
Now, she added they were working with schools to strengthen the school disaster management through training and awareness.
