SABETO College principal Shelly Imran is thankful that Parliament was brought closer to the students in the form of the Parliament Bus program.

Mrs Imran, in a statement, said the program was very enriching and enlightening and the students were happy and excited to be associated with it.

“I wholeheartedly thank the Parliament for considering our school to carry out this program,” Mrs Imran said.

The head boy of Mulomulo Secondary School, Krishaal Minal Chand, also echoed similar sentiments saying the program was beneficial to the school because it helped them understand how Parliament worked, and its roles and functions.

“In future, if we want to become a member of parliament, we now have a fair idea about how parliament works,” Chand said.

The Parliament bus program also visited Narewa Village.

It is expected to travel next week to the Northern Division for schools and villages in the Cakaudrove district.
